BARD
Bard

There's a group called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)
to which I've belonged for over a dozen years. Similar to Civil War
re-enactors, the SCA focuses on the Middle Ages and recreating the
good parts, minus the plagues and other unpleasant portions.
Within that company, I am known as Lady Llereth Wyddffa an
Myrddin, a roughly-10th-Century Irish bard, merchant (decorated
ceramic drinking vessels and blades) and voice herald.
While a bard within the SCA, I am a Bard in life, Named (The
Copper Bard) and sworn to traditional duties. Many of them are
acquitted in the work I do as a writer and editor, activist and
commentator, and I'm pleased to have been able to share some of them
with you.
